E4P Africa
E4P Africa is committed to promoting and implementing the conservation of Uganda’s natural resources; to link educational, economic, and energy endeavors with community-based poverty reduction strategies; and above all, to listen, learn from and work together with, those who call the Pearl of Africa home.
Who We Are |
E4P Africa is a small nongovernmental organisation, based in Uganda. We work in partnership with rural communities, wildlife conservation institutions and civil society organizations throughout the country to reduce poverty, promote better education, and develop sustainable livelihoods through natural resource conservation.

Our History |
E4P Africa is the result of a collaboration of ideas chartered by like-minded individuals from two different parts of the world. By coming together with a shared vision of linking poverty alleviation with the conservation of natural resources, we hope to assist in the overall betterment of the Uganda’s environmental, educational, economic, and energy efficient future.
While E4P Africa began with several projects throughout East and Southern Africa, it has since modified its vision with a more dedicated focus on Uganda. The reason, simply put, is that its members didn’t want to risk spreading themselves too thin, ultimately losing sight of their goal.
Today, E4P Africa has made several small yet successful strides in helping conserve Uganda’s natural resources and helping local communities. This includes sponsoring two schools, raising funds for the successful installation of a rainwater collection unit to offset human-wildlife conflict near Lake Victoria, several infrastructure repairs, desks, chairs, books, and clothing donations for students, and raising funds to help the continued research and conservation of hyaenas, leopards, and lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park. We are also in the process of raising funds for elephant and rhino conservation in Uganda, and are in the infancy stages of a new community-based natural resource management programme that we hope will begin within the next year. We look forward to sharing more news about this in the future!

Overview
From its inception in 2015, the founders of E4P recognized that sustainability must be the key in order to make strides in conserving nature and empowering local communities.
While businesses sometimes have a more sustainable approach than the non-profit world, non-profits often care more about making a difference.
E4P demonstrates a different model, one which combines these two approaches in a social entrepreneurial effort, while incorporating adaptive management strategies to improve.
